After a successful career in the UK and Canada, my husband and I moved to Spain to follow our passion for great food and wine and opened a tapas restaurant on the Costa Blanca. Following the success of that first venture we went on to open another restaurant specialising in plant based food. Now having sold both restaurants and looking for a slightly less hectic life we have started a small bespoke catering and private dining company.

I have a passion for all types of cuisine having travelled extensively but particularly enjoy cooking foods from Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. I have lots of experience in cooking both meat and fish dishes but also enjoy preparing tasty and flavourful vegan and vegetarian food.

If you are looking for someone to cater an intimate dining experience at your villa or cater a small event where the food is all homemade using excellent local ingredients, then you will not be disappointed with our services. We have sample menus available but are more than happy to create bespoke menus based on your guests’ preferences. So, whether you want a three course meal, canapés & cocktails, an evening of wine and cheese, a casual BBQ lunch or dinner by the pool we have options to suit all budgets so please contact us and we will quickly respond with menu options and competitive pricing.


Dani Bowler “Masterchef Finalist”

Working as a front of house manager for chains like Wetherspoons, All Bar One and Revolution he decided to move to London where he got the chance to audition for Masterchef, along with 20,000 other hopefuls. After numerous interviews and auditions, his infectious love of the trade coupled with his knowledge of two distinct country’s delights saw him make it to the final 70 contestants on the prestigious BBC 1program.

His dedication, hard work and undoubted talent, combined with his innate love of the craft, took him to the final heats in the program. Taking time off to travel the world and learn the different cultures & cuisines around Asia and Australia. Using the experience he gained on the show, his years of experience and most importantly, his love of the craft, Dani returned to Spain and opened the Vintage Café in the metropolitan resort of Albir, quickly becoming the taste of the town & number one on trip advisor and voted the best restaurant in the area.

It soon became apparent that Danis talents could not be contained to one location. He quickly became the desired chef for many Private yachts anchored in nearby ports along the costa, bringing a sparkle of stardust to an already glamorous location. He also provides a unique private dining experience in the home, villa or corporate events anything from 2 to 100 people he happily approaches every situation with verve and gusto that is as incomparable as his many MasterChef dishes, from Paella, BBQs, canapés to a specially tailored fine dining experience.


Mark Harris

My passion is food!!!

Mark has an incredible passion for food and has spent 20 years within the 5* Michelin market gaining exceptional experience over the years in establishments that include The Savoy, The Waldorf and Cliveden, as well as working in Africa and Thailand. He is classically French trained, but also incorporates modern European influences into his dishes, bringing a ‘cutting edge’ to his food. His lifelong passion for food comes from his grandparents, who grew spectacular fruit and veg in their garden,and made wonderful cakes, jams and pickles. He moved to Spain 10 years ago looking for a more consistent work/life balance, and is a true asset to Step One.

My passion for food came from my grandparents, spending my weekends with my grandfather in his spectacular fruit and vegetable gardens and watching my grandmother baking wonderful cakes and biscuits, preparing jams, marmalade and pickles.

I worked from the early age of 13 within The Savoy group of hotels and after completing my city and guilds I went to London and joined the Savoy Hotel itself. I spent the next 20 years within the 5* Michelin market, spending a number of years in Africa, Thailand and finally made the move to Spain 10 years ago, in search of a more consistent work/life balance…

Experience and knowledge is my greatest asset.  Continued positive growth is a necessity and I am committed to two things, great food and outstanding service.  The key is to stay current on culinary trends and bring a cutting edge to my food.  Having the freedom to be creative and take risks, only then will my food evolve, trying new techniques and learning all that I can.

After running Harrisons Catering for several years in the UK, we decided to move to Spain in June 2009 and continue the business in the sun! We simply changed the name to Harrisons Catering Costa Blanca. It made sense to take the outside catering to a climate where the outside weather was a little more friendly!

Cooking runs in our blood. Laura’s cousin is the wife of Georgio Locatelli who has held a Michelin star since 2003 and imparted so much of his knowledge and wisdom to help us along the way.

At 17, Laura trained in a Michelin star restaurant in Leicestershire for two years. My father was a chef in the RAF, so I learnt how to cook at a very young age and have a had a passion for it all my life. I am also ‘Broil King’s’ official certified chef and BBQ cookery teacher for the Spain and Portugal region.

Our philosophy is a simple one. Buy the best ingredients available, prepare and cook them with love, serve them with a smile and above all, stay humble.

Lee was born with food and passion in his blood, being from Spanish heritage he was taught the meaning of food, family and tradition at an early age.

He studied both Culinary Arts and Pastry & Baking Arts, working alongside Michelin star chefs gaining valuable knowledge and techniques.  After 18 years in the leisure and hospitality industry Lee decided that his passion for cooking, learning new techniques and recipes from various cultures and continents was where he wanted to be. 

Lee traveled around the world, meeting the locals and mastering the tastes and flavours of the country he was in, fueling his passion for regional, authentic cuisine. Fusion cuisine combines the elements of different culinary traditions originating from different countries, regions and cultures from every continent.

During 2002 Lee opened his first Restaurant Wine Bar, using the knowledge he had learnt during his travels he was able to give something back.  A unique concept with no menu, just a list of everything he had bought that day, fresh from local producers or markets. Lee’s ideology was simple, you choose your ingredients from the list and we create your menu, bringing you a taste of the world on to your plate.                                                                      

In 2011 Lee moved to Spain with his family and have created a unique Catering Company and Cookery School. Nutrition plays a big part in the menu creation; food is the fuel for your mind, body and soul. Fresh is best, using seasonal local produce, sourced free range proteins and fresh grown vegetables is part of every Creative menu they deliver. Keeping his ideology, Lee and his team create bespoke cuisine tailor-made for every client. Spending time with them and gathering as much information as he can, their background, likes, dislikes, favourite foods, places and lots more. Only then the menu is created to take you back to those favourite moments, tastes, places creating the food experience you’ll never forget.

Our menus reflect our clients desires, a blank canvas where we become the artist adding colour, creating tastes and vibrant flavours, the ultimate dining experience.
