Swiss Ball Toning

Using Swiss balls and light weights give the body a toning workout from a different perspective.  The instability of the balls force engagement of the core and stabilising muscles, developing stronger joints, functional strength and an iron core.

Boxercise

One of the best forms of exercise you can get without even realising it.  Get the heart rate up, release any pent up anger and give the brain a workout all at the same time.  Especially good for people with lower body injuries or restrictions.  Work with a partner learning basic punches, movements, combinations and self defence techniques from some of the best martial arts systems from all over the world.

A fabulous all in one class, HIIT, cardio, toning and core strength all combined while building camaraderie, friendship bonds and a little competition.  Great for all levels of fitness and abilities.

Rebounding

On the rebounders, developed by NASA, an enjoyable and low impact way to increase fitness and burn fat while also giving the lymphatic system a good clean out.  Somersaults and back flips are optional but it’s impossible not to smile and have a bit of a sing along.

Gymstick

Gymstick is a functional resistance training tool that does more than replicating free weight exercises it provides resistance in virtually any direction and in any position. Each exercise will improve your core strength, balance, posture, coordination, muscle strength and endurance.

Concept: We work in trios with music
Trios are an exclusive format to Gymstick group fitness classes. It involves three functional movement patterns that are progressively more challenging.  Performed for 30 seconds this workout is perfect for those who want to build muscle and strength without going to the gym.

Out in the sunshine “utilising our environment” a series of exercises designed to get the metabolism revved up and the body burning calories even when you’ve gone to bed.  Using the principles of interval training this class is great for increasing fitness and promoting fat loss.  The perfect all rounder and always a very popular class.

Legs, Bums & Tums

The old faithful legs, bums and tums workout.  Designed to strengthen and tone the areas we generally tend to accumulate stored energy and where we find the biggest muscles in the body.  More muscle = higher metabolism.  Low impact, no equipment just a butt like Beyonce.
